Disparity Matters is curated by a scientist who recently retired after 25 years at a non-profit public health organization. The members of his immediate family, through blood, marriage, and adoption, are of West African, Chinese, Northern European, Central American, Ashkenazi Jewish, and Native American ancestry. He hopes that relaying news about health disparities today will in at least a small way help build a more equitable world for his grandchildren.
